The holiday festivities are quickly approaching and that’s one of the reasons why I love the holidays. I love dressing up and being glamorous from time to time. It’s a great opportunity to play with different eras.
For this look, I was inspired by “The Great Gatsby” movie; everything about this era simply intrigues me. The music, the art, the history, and most importantly the fashion!
The biggest influence for “The Great Gatsby” wardrobe was all due to the 1920’s fashion. During this era, the “flapper” dress was used to accommodate women who danced in the Jazz clubs. Today, these types of dresses can be called “fringed dresses”. This dress doesn’t have that particular element of fringe but the laced-detail is a great alternative; I love that this small detail ends up complementing the entire ensemble.
Because it was a liberal era, accessories became as important as the outfit. As you can see, feathers and pearls were the main go to objects for this occasion.
Hope this look inspired you for your holiday wardrobe 😉
Special thanks to my model, Tawny, and my photographer, Anthonie <3. Make sure to check them out!
